Catholic cemeteries are dedicated to the corporal work of mercy of burying the dead in places consecrated for the reception of our deceased loved ones, whom we return to the Lord with dignity and respect.

Each diocesan and parish cemetery expresses our belief in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.  Cemeteries are sacred places which serve the exercise or promotion of worship, piety, and religion.

There are over sixty parish cemeteries and four regional cemeteries throughout the twelve county region of the Diocese of Rochester.  We encourage you to explore our website to learn more about our cemeteries and the celebration of life everlasting.
